Open Houses are a great way to show potential buyers the property you have listed, and what better than to be able to show people the open house whether they are physically there or not. Facebook Live allows for you to live stream a tour of the house and answer questions in real time! You now have the ability with Facebook Live to create a “virtual open house” opening it up to a larger audience!

Here are some tips to help you on your way to virtual open house success with Facebook Live:

1. Advertise when you will be live streaming ahead of time. Make sure to give not only the day of the open house live stream, but also the time.

2. Make sure you have a strong and stable connection for your live streaming. Facebook recommends WiFi or a 4G data connection.

3. You’re able to write a description of the live stream to help capture the attention of your viewers as well as give them a better understanding of what the live stream entails. This is a great place to put some listing info and highlight features of the property.

4. When answering real-time questions from your viewers, be sure to address them by name – this makes it a much more personal experience and let your viewers know you are listening!

5. Take your time… according to Facebook, “the longer you broadcast, the more likely people are to discover and invite their friends on Facebook to watch the video. We recommend that you go live for at least 10 minutes, and you can stay live for up to 90 minutes.”

Once your live stream has ended it will be uploaded as a video for others to view at a later date. Don’t miss out on making use of this fantastic tool to help increase your reach and get you selling properties faster! Click here to learn more about Facebook Live and get started streaming!
