SWOT Your Brand

Strengths – Look at your strong characteristics that give you an advantage over your competitors. Do you specialize in a specific area in real estate? Are you familiarized working with new immigrants or military families? Write down all of your positive aspects or personality traits. If you find it challenging to come up with some points, read over your client testimonials and gather information from there.

Weaknesses – We’ll admit, this can be the hardest of the 4 SWOT Elements to fill out; however, your analysis would not be complete without it. You must humble yourself and collectively analyze your Weaknesses. Take into consideration all of your internal and external factors, be realistic and honest with yourself. What areas can you improve? What factors cause you to lose a sale? What should you avoid? Look at your competitors and the things that make them successful- from personality traits to services.

Opportunities – The market is always changing, so what other Opportunities can you pursue within it? Take the time to explore these possibilities, for they will eventually become long and short term goals. Analyze your Weaknesses and how they are affecting your Opportunities. Can you open more doors in your real estate career if you were to eliminate those Weaknesses?

Threats – Similar to Weaknesses, your Threats are obstacles which you must overcome to reach your goals. Do you struggle with Social Media? Is your real estate website outdated and visually unappealing? These Threats could potentially cause your to lose leads or close sales. The good news is you can detect these Threats and prevent them from harming your brand or business.
