The right strategy will keep you on top of your game and ensure all of your tasks are completed quickly and efficiently.

A good strategy combined with stellar sales skills is sure to impress, and establish you as a top contender in this competitive market.

First start by collecting all the facts you’ll need to formulate your Action Plan.

If you are a night owl and tend to be incoherent first thing in the morning, planning your day the night before can make it much more manageable. Waking up with a solid to-do list can be both motivating and it’s a much better alternative to waking up with only a vague idea of how your day will unravel…

  • Make a List, write down each item that you would like accomplish through out the day including; contacting prospects, showing homes to first time buyers and working on your marketing campaign.
  • Prioritize and Organize each item in the sequence that it should be accomplished. (Try to consolidate similar tasks together.).Next, Write how long each task will take you beside the event, and add it all up. (Don’t forget to incorporate errands into your agenda.).
  • Now for the Fun Part; there is beauty in the breakdown; copy your list into your agenda or day planner, then break it down, hour-by-hour, minute-by-minute.

Now that you have a tactical plan, here are some tips to keep you on track:

  • Call before you Leave – When you have an appointment during the day, always call to confirm that you’re on your way before you leave your home or office. This will ensure that the person you’re meeting did not forget about the appointment and gives you a heads up if they are going to be late, perhaps you can fit something else in.
  • Check off Completed Items as you go – Every time you finish something, cross it off your To-Do-List. This will give you a sense of accomplishment throughout the day.
  • Do a Final Check – At the end of each day, take a look at your list. How many items were you able to accomplish?

Are there 1-2 things left undone, or many?

  • If there were just a few undone, simply move them to tomorrow’s To-Do-List.
  • If there are more than a few tasks left undone, and you have worked diligently on everything, then you probably had too many things on your list to begin with; you may want to consider re-thinking how much time some of your tasks require, and what is a reasonable amount to accomplish on any given day.

Remember, you only have 24 hours in a day, and you should be using a third of those hours to sleep!
